Family is the most important thing, part of our foundation and the rock that we all lean on.
Family photos often get pushed to the back burner for a lot of reasons, we are too busy, its too much work to find the right clothes and to schedule it around everyone's activities, maybe we are waiting to lose 10 pounds or a haircut to grow out. All excuses that even I as a professional photographer have used, but the time is now to change that. I've photographed families who have never had a professional family session or haven't had one done in years and years. We all change and grow so much constantly and new seasons in our lives should be documented and memories preserved forever. Those memories should not only be shown off on social media but printed out and displayed in our homes and on our Christmas cards.
I am here to help with all parts of you family session! We can work around busy schedules and I can help find the right location for your session either outdoors or in the studio. I can give suggestions and help plan outfits. The day of the session I will help you feel comfortable and relaxed and help pose and get genuine smiles. How is that for excuse busters? Your Senior year is one of the best times of your life, one you want to remember forever. The perfect senior photos can not only help you do that, but can add to the fun of your last year of school.
Your senior session can be just about anything you'd like it to be, we have the option to use the studio for both fun and formal shots, but we can visit a few different locations to make sure your session is unique to you and captures your personality perfectly. If you are involved in school activities or sports I always encourage you to incorporate those into your session as well.
One question I get asked often is when to schedule your senior session. I always tell everyone it depends on the season you want it to be in your photos, what you want to wear, what the landscape looks like and what type of scenery you want to include. For summer photos I recommend scheduling your session in July or August before your senior year starts. For fall or autumn photos late September or October is beautiful in Ohio.
Cap and Gown sessions are another wonderful way to celebrate your senior year! I offer these every spring and can be a quick way to celebrate the end of the year! A lot of my customers plan both sessions, a lot happens in this last year of school and it is always fun to celebrate with a more fun session to end the year.

Hey! Welcome to my blog post all about cake smash sessions! These sessions are growing in popularity and the possibilities are ENDLESS! I've got a a list of ideas that I just can't wait to use, but let's start with some of the themes I've already used, because we all love pictures of cute babies, and cute, messy babies are even better!
This little man came in for a "you are my Son-Shine" cake smash, I'd say he did a good job at the smash part!
Look at this amazing cake!!! I always ask parents to provide the cake, that way if baby has any allergies they can address them and we can keep baby safe...but if you need a suggestion of bakers I can always help with that :)
Balloons and party decorations paired with a banner made this the perfect celebration for this little ray of sunshine!
This little slugger knocked it out of the park for his cake smash, look at that baseball cake! This little guy had come to me since his newborn session and we carried a baseball theme through everything, so when momma said she wanted a baseball cake smash we hit a home run!

How about a backyard BBQ? This is one of my favorite sets so far! Look at that cheeseburger cake!!

Cake smashes aren't just for boys though! This little sweetie was tutu cute with her unicorn cake smash!
She has probably been my best "smasher" to date, but I'm not sure she really ate much of her cake....but added bonus for you, there is a bathtub at the studio so you can give your babe a bath and I will do the dirty work of cleaning up the studio!

Unfortunately, not every little one loves cake...but that is okay, we have a few tips and tricks to try, and we always get a few pictures that totally show off them in the moment! These next two just weren't sure of their sweet treats, but they still are adorable!
Even if you don't have a "theme" for you baby's first birthday, we can still create a perfect celebration for their session. A color scheme, or a simple banner can make the most amazing shots too!

Milestone Sessions can cover a lot of different milestones in a child's life, from a few months old all the way to graduation. Cake Smash Sessions are becoming very popular and great way to celebrate and capture a baby's first birthday. Often parents have a theme they are using for the baby's first birthday party, or their nursery or just a color scheme that they like and I create a custom set just for their cake smash. These sessions take a little more planning between myself and my clients, but the results are worth every bit of it!

Most babies can't wait to dig into a whole cake that is made just for them, and Mr. One-derful was no exception to that!
I love the way the blues show off his blue eyes, and little man LOVED his cake, he couldn't get enough!
Of course every one wants to remember every detail so I always try to make sure to take lots of cakey close-ups too!

I've been asked more than once why I love glitter so much and why I love glitter sessions.... Here's my why....
✨✨✨EVERY GIRL DESERVES TO SHINE!!!✨✨✨
Every one deserves a minute to shine, and having the photos of those moments are memories that last a life time. These little girls remember these sessions. I can't tell you how many girls I've seen after a glitter session and they smile and say "hey! you're the one who took my glitter pictures, that was so fun," or "hey, can I throw some glitter again.
During glitter sessions I have seen little eyes sparkle, the shyest of children open up and get bubbly and giggle with me. It's a day where it can be all about them, from getting dressed into a pretty outfit to putting on a tiara to tossing glitter while dancing and singing. It's FUN and a little mischievous, because we all know mom and dad aren't going to ask them to throw glitter and try to hit the ceiling. Their true selves come out and the memories and pictures we capture are priceless.
BUT do you know who else deserves to feel like a queen! YOU! These sessions aren't only for our little princesses, they are amazing fun for adults too! Celebrating a big birthday? Just love to shine? This is for you!

Every day I walk into my laundry room to feed our dogs.
Every day I trip over a pile of shoes that are just feet away from the basket I put there to catch them.
Every day I get frustrated, angry or even swear as I trip over the pile of shoes.
Until today.
Today I looked at that pile of shoes and realized that those shoes aren't the shoes of my little kids anymore. Those shoes belong to almost full grown young adults.
Today I realized that all these things that sometimes make me angry I will one day miss.
Today I realized that while I'm trying to kill this girl boss life my kids are growing up and they are pretty amazing kids.
Today I realized that I am pretty lucky to be their mom, even if I trip on their shoes.
Today I realized that it's been a long time since I've captured our family on camera.
Today I realized that a picture of shoes can make me reflect a whole bunch.
THEN I realized that I am doing this not only because I love being a photographer and meeting new people and creating perfect memories for them.
I am also doing it FOR my kids. I am doing it so I can be here to trip over their shoes in the morning instead of rushing out the door to a regular job.
I'm doing it so they can see what hard work and dedication can do.
I'm doing it so that they can see that if you put your heart into something and have a great family supporting you, you can accomplish great things.
Today I vowed to myself to take the time to capture more perfect memories for us too, because often I'm behind the camera or in the office editing for hours. SO here starts a little personal side project for myself. I want to capture the reality of my family again, its what sparked my love of photography years ago, and I want to go back to it. I won't share them all, but today the shoes got me and I know I'm not alone in this!
Hug your kids hard today because one day you'll be tripping over size 12 shoes instead of size 3 shoes.
If you have been following me on any social media you probably know that I have become glitter obsessed these last few weeks. It all started with one idea, five girls and a pound of glitter...
For every little girl that loves glitter there is a mom or dad somewhere saying "Glitter? That stuff gets everywhere!"
These 5 girls got to make the mess of a lifetime with glitter at my studio and it was so much fun! Hopefully they will always remember the day they got to do whatever they wanted with glitter and no one complained or told them no, in fact, we told them to throw it again! And YES we are still finding glitter everywhere, but these images are so worth it!

We had so much fun that I have decided to do two whole days of glitter minis, I have filled up all of them and have added some more times! These are great for ages 2-???? Because we all love glitter! If you are interested in scheduling contact me soon! Because once these added times fill up they are gone!
So, once you've booked, here's what you can expect. Your session will be approximately 20 minutes. Solid colored dresses are the best option. I have seen some of them that are coming and they are gorgeous! If you have questions with dresses I am happy to help and give suggestions as well. I have tiaras on hand but you can also bring your own if you would like. Every one who comes will leave with glitter on them! You may want to bring your little one a change of clothes for after the session.
I have so many great themes running through my head all the time, but I need a model to have some of these come to life!

Hey everyone! Now that the grand opening is over and the first week is in the book I have the time to sit back, breathe and update everyone here!
The Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening were held on February 17, 2018 and were a HUGE success! Jessie opened Livin' on Dreams Boutique and I opened my studio for visitors for the first time. I couldn't even start to tell you how many people came through that day!
It was such a neat experience to have all of our friends and families there and the amazing support of the Lewisburg Chamber of Commerce and the Village as a whole was great. I am thrilled to be a part of the growing community and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us!
During the open house visitors toured the studio and my office which is now open for consults, ordering sessions or just having a chat! In the coming week I'll update with photos of inside the studio to keep you all in the loop so check back regularly!
Paisley Perfect Photography is getting a massive facelift! I am finally done tweaking my new logo and it will be making its appearance in several places...I can't wait for you all to see the changes being made, they are going to be huge!
The first and biggest change is I will be opening my own studio in Lewisburg, Ohio. I will be offering sessions with great indoor and outdoor locations there. We are working hard to create a beautiful space for all sessions newborn through family. I will be sharing the space with Jessie from Livin' on Dreams boutique, She has some great clothing lines and her shop is going to be super cute! We don't have an opening date just yet, but I will let everyone know as soon as we do.

Another big change coming is that Paisley Perfect Photography is going to be offering more artwork and prints for your images. These items will be for sale after your session and we can have an in person ordering session at my new studio and office to help you pick the perfect images and sizes for your spaces. I feel that getting your images on the walls instead of on a flash drive is very important and I want you all to be able to see your images of your beautiful families every day for years to come.

Every year as the busy season slows down and I have a moment to catch my breath I reflect on what has worked well, what needs improvement and what else I can do to make your experience with Paisley Perfect Photography the absolute best. Coming into the end of 2017 I have made quite the list of things I want to work on in the months to come to make 2018 the best year yet! Every year I say I'm going to work on my blog...and to date I think I have made one blog post a year...that won't cut it anymore!
Meet Henry, the newest member of Paisley Perfect Photography, he joined me on my Limited Christmas Sessions and has plans to make appearances at some future sessions as well. In the mean time we plan to have some fun with Henry!
I hope to help all of you get your images off your flash drives and onto your walls, because lets face it, that is where they are most cherished. Photographs are meant to be shared with those who share your home and those who visit. Nothing makes me happier than to see your images hanging on your walls!

I'm wrapping up my busy season and finally caught up with editing! I have been very blessed this year to be so busy and have so many wonderful customers who come back every year and who also pass my name along to new customers! I love seeing the images I take used both on walls and on social media! Thank you all for another wonderful fall season! Anyone interested in a chilly session let me know! The weather is getting colder but I have shooting time available!
Lewisburg Derby Days are coming up! There is always a lot of fun things to do at Derby Days, and this year I am helping out the local soccer league by taking photos! I will be attending both the derby race and the car show and taking orders for 8X10 photos of either your car or your derby racer! They will cost $15 and all proceeds will go to Tri County North SAY Soccer League! Stop by the Soccer Booth and fill out an order form, look through my portfolio and play a play a game all to support SAY Soccer!
I have just finished up a busy week of shoots, edits and planning! Today is the last day here before we leave for a vacation (and lots and lots of picture taking) in Tennessee. I will return all calls, messages and emails next week when we return.
As soon as we are back I will be jumping right back into work with a super bust August, starting off with a wedding! Be prepared to hear from me a lot and see a lot of new photos!
